Luz Magdalena Salas

I am a PhD in Economics from The Graduate Center at City University of New York. I have over three years of teaching experience. The research topics of my interest are development economics, behavioral economics and applied microeconomics. I have conducted numerous field-based research projects in developing countries, mostly in the design and evaluation of commitment savings products to improve financial capability among low-income households. I combine large-scale programs with low-cost innovative interventions that aim to change the behavior of individuals in order to improve their well-being. I am currently conducting research projects in Colombia, The Dominican Republic and China. I am interested in carrying out rigorous research projects to help individuals alleviate poverty and improve their living conditions.
